The Sunshine Award

Sunshineblogaward

Yoda the dog has given me the Sunshine Award. How he managed to actually consider me and then bestow it on one of the few sunny days we have had here in California, I don't know. He's a smart dog.

I feel really honored to receive the award because I like to think that I bring sunshine to others, even when they might be initially scared of me because I am a big grrl and sometimes pushy thus the @grouchypuppy handle.

I'm so proud that Yoda feels sunshine from reading about my day. I may be misunderstood sometimes but Yoda reminds me that it isn't ALL the time. Thank you Yoda for this pretty flower too, I like it a lot. And I am glad you liked the dog hair song. Mama hums it now when she vacuums...

The rules for accepting the Sunshine Award are as follows:

  1. Put the Sunshine Award flower logo on your blog or within your post
  2. Pass the award onto 12 bloggers who fill your life with Sunshine
  3. Link the winners within your post
  4. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know they've received the Sunshine Award
  5. Post these instructions so they'll know what to do!

So now that the rules are out of the way, I've given my thanks, let me start with my shouts to fellow buddies who help bring sunshine to this part of California:

Lola Smiles - we love anyone who smiles at us and we love reading Lola's blog. We wish she would post more photos of her playing in the water. We love the water! Lola brings sunshine to our day every time we see the word "wigglebutt" too...

Thank Dog. Photography -  I love the photos they publish here.  It makes me proud to be a dog. The best part is that the photos are of people and cats too!  They made me laugh hard when I saw the photo of two German Shepherds, Cagney & Lacey. I recognize that Elvis like snarl...

Schmitty Says - He reports the weather in that hip New Yorkie way!  I love checking out his blog and seeing what he and his sister are up to in the big Apple.  They are real city slickers.

Rumblepurr - My mancat friend from New Zealand who tickles my funny bone every time I read his blog. He inspires me to be nice to fluffy cats and I appreciate that. They can be grouchy puppies too sometimes.

GoPetFriendly - I wish I could enjoy riding in the car more but it still is like a flying bed for me. And not in a good way.  However because my pack likes to travel and I love them, it is nice to check the fun at Go Pet Friendly to see where they are and what cool places are friendly to pups like me.

Hero the Sharpei - Hero is a handsome pup who goes on hikes and shows others how even big dogs can be very dainty and sweet. He sets a good example and that makes me happy.

Fergus the mutt - maybe because I'm also a rescue pup too and because the vet guesses I'm part Husky & part Shepherd, Fergie just melts my heart. He is a sweet guy and I love looking at his blog to see what mischief he is up to in Wisconsin.

Pups in Tea Cups - I love looking at their blog because I have a soft spot for little pups. Maybe because I love being a big baby, maybe because I can't have puppies. It doesn't matter. The fact that these cuties are as demanding and bossy as me, well, makes me happy!

Fred T Dog - He goes by @FredaDog but Fred's owner should call him sweet fluffy poof ball.  We like reading about Fred because he has that stoic persona like us and he gets in trouble like us too. Just sometimes. I think he is a perfect candidate to join the Grouchy Puppy pack! And even after his occasional "uh oh" he has an owner who loves him a lot.

Frugal Dougal - He may be famous but he is a humble wee man, and I adore that. His website and blog are two places I look at often to see where he is but also learn about what good cause he is working hard on.  He truly brings sunshine to the world...

Joyful Springer - reading this inspirational blog can add sunshine to anyone's day.  Truly amazing how so many Springers can live together and share their toys! I can sure take lessons from them.

Sylvie Dog - Cookie Fiend - when I first look at Sylvie's blog it always inspires me because at 11 yrs. she looks fabulous in her photos!  ... I'm about 7 (we guess) and I can only wish that my looks hold up like hers. Maybe cookies really are the secret?  I sure hope so...
