Curiosity or just a competitive dog? It doesn't matter if it means I'm getting exercise. Older dogs need to keep moving so we don't lose muscle mass.

There is no such thing as labor day for a dog. Service, guide and assistance dogs work every day because they love what they do. Maybe this is where the phrase "labor of love" comes from? I wouldn't be surprised if a dog inspired or invented that. BOL

Obesity in pets is a real problem. Often when a mom brings home a new baby, the pet gets fat according to this New Baby Means Fat Pet story on Petside.com. This city dog (me!) had a few months there (okay, six) where I was on the heavy side (ten extra LBs), but fortunately I responded quickly to a change in diet and exercise.

When I first read about the dog days of summer, it made me mad. Muggy? Me? I'm a German Shepherd-Husky dog, I'm the opposite of muggy. I stop muggers!
However when I read that a big dog is the brightest of the stars in the summer night sky, then I was Sirius -ly happy.
Do you think if I win Funniest Blog or Blogger, I could get them to rename Sirius, the dog *super* star? BOL

This could be a wonderful sentiment for this dog, but only on a few conditions. You're not referring to a movie that I never saw. You are referring to the many enjoyable things a dog can love that comes in a box, like a new squeaky toy. You are not referring to the man in brown, who comes to the door, grrrrr to deliver boxes with that smiley face on them.
Instead of all that, this saying would have a lot of meaning if..
..by box you meant, a pile of fresh dirt over a rodent hole. AND
