Dogs and hostess gifts. As much as I love my ground turkey, this preparation for those people who will pet me, is tough. The noise and commotion, that isn't about me, makes me nervous. I can't nap properly when that animal is over there making a racket.

With my fluffy dog fur, and girth, I bet I would make a great new balloon for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! We heard on the radio about their trick to keep the balloons floating to the end. They stop in the sunshine, the helium warms up, and voila..they rise up again! Poofy and fluffy like me!

Last week was my annual mature exam at the vet. I had a nervous stomach and relied on my pack for support. They brought my favorite treats to surprise me with, and even let me get onto the couch next to them while we waited for our turn.
I trust my pack to not let anything bad happen to me, and they don't disappoint. They wrapped me in love throughout the entire appointment. This time I even settled down long enough to weigh in at 88lbs! That's an auspicious number even for a dog!
Afterwards, they confirmed with the doc that I am a rockstar..

November is Adopt a Senior Dog Month. November 24 is Thanksgiving. Coincidence? Maybe. Being a dog, and a senior dog at that, I would say no. BOL My dog opinion is that there are reasons for everything and I have three reasons why senior dogs deserve extra attention in November.

Tomorrow morning is going to be big. My mature senior dog exam is set, as well as discussion over my recent troubles. It is an early appointment which means I cannot sleep in, but the good news is that my vet isn't that far away. Short car rides equal less stress panting.
Hopefully we will find out that my golden years mean I need some more vitamins, and maybe modified exercise. Like grandma doing aerobics in a chair.
